An upscale Mexican fine dining restaurant in Chicago’s Old Town neighborhood, this is another highly complicated, consultant-intensive project. The client’s residence is on the top floor of the existing three story (plus mezzanine), post-tension concrete structure (complicated engineering). The restaurant was to remain operational during most of the construction. A new upstairs kitchen and dining room were created prior to the closing for remodel of the main level kitchen and dining room. All levels were remodeled, including the residence, with down time kept to a minimum.
